The Eldorado Backcountry Ski Patrol is a volunteer organization that works with the U.S. Forest Service. We welcome backcountry skiers, snowshoe hikers, and backcountry snowboarders. We focus on public safety and service as well as education associated with winter mountain recreation.

If you are interested in joining the Ski Patrol please send an email to membership@ebsp.org .  The membership coordinator can answer your questions.

The prospective member fills out the application and sends it to membership@ebsp.org . They should also fill out the Rules For Occupancy of Government Owned Buildings, the Emergency Contact Information Form and the VSA sign-off form at the links below. Send them all to our membership coordinator at membership@ebsp.org .  You may be added to a prospective email group to inform you of upcoming meetings, training, patrols, events, and trail work days.

We ask that prospective members come to a minimum of two events (for example, a Patrol meeting, a class, and/or join us on an Open Ski/Snowshoe) so that we can get to know each other. The prospective member can learn more about the Patrol at these events.  The Board will then vote on whether or not to accept the membership.  If membership is accepted, the Webmaster will send the new member an email, and explain how to pay the dues through the website and finalize your membership.
